Frank Jay Scanlon's Obituary
Frank Jay Scanlon, age 56, of Dallas, TX, passed away on January 2, 2025. Born on November 28, 1968, in New Hartford, NY, to Frances Caroline Murphy and William Paris Scanlon, Frank was a beacon of radiant friendliness, humor, and unwavering love for his children.
Frank's passion for sports was legendary. He was a devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Longhorns, Syracuse Orange, Dallas Mavericks, and Texas Rangers. His enthusiasm for his teams was matched only by his exceptional grilling skills, which brought joy and delicious meals to countless gatherings.
Preceded in death by his parents, William Paris Scanlon and Frances Caroline Murphy, and brother Frances James Scanlon, Frank leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. He is survived by his children, Ryan Patrick Scanlon, Frank Ivan Scanlon, and Jacqueline Adalcinda Scanlon; his grandson, Rogelio Garcia; his sister, Caroline Scanlon; his brother, Billy Scanlon; his nieces, Lindsay Barton and Lacee Barton; his nephew Nicholas Gulbranson, and many other extended family members and friends.
Frank's memory will be cherished by all who knew him. His radiant smile, sense of humor, and love for his family and friends will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held on February 1, 2025, at 2 PM in Restland Memorial Chapel to celebrate his life and legacy.
