Frank Weaver Smith's Obituary
Smith, Frank Weaver September 23, 1946 – July 30, 2011 Frank was a native Dallasite. He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1965. Frank attended Southwestern University and earned a nursing degree from TCU. He was a kind and generous soul who treasured orchids, was a music lover and valued all God’s creation. He served his country as a Captain in the Army and worked at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. His time in Hawaii began his love affair with the Hawaiian Islands where he lived for some time and visited often after he left. Frank continued his career in nursing in Texas until his retirement. Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Wallis and Martha Smith and his brothers Shandy Smith and Greg Smith. He is survived by his loving family that includes: his sister, Gretchen Cash and her husband, Stan Szychulski; Frank’s partner, Jeanie Allen James; his niece, Allison West and great nephew, Cole Kincy; his nephew, Clint Cash, his aunt, Kay Peters, his great-aunt, Jane Hill and many cousins. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 3rd at Restland Memorial Chapel.
