Mrs. Frankie Lou Prichard's Obituary
PRICHARD, FRANKIE SMITH, passed away on December 11, 2007, at Dallas Presbyterian Hospital with family present. She had just enjoyed a weekend of bridge with good friends and time with family. Lively and alert to the end, Mrs. James Prichard is survived by her loving children Suzanne Smith and Steve Smith, by her red-headed and long loved sisters, Helen McVoy and Doris Cooper and their families. Of special importance to her was the loving support for so many years and in so many ways of the family of her wonderful, late husband Jim Prichard, Sr. Surviving are the children Gage and Gwen Prichard, and Jim and Julie Prichard, and the loving families of her grandchildren: Gage Jr., Le Anne, Julie Anne, Jennifer, and Marshall and eight great-grandchildren. Mrs. Prichard was proud of having written book reviews for the Dallas Morning News while she was an English major at SMU. She also never lost her interest in residential architecture, which survived her drawing house plans for her late, first husband, developer and contractor, Houston Smith Jr., who died in 1960. Frankie had a vital interest in the stock market to the last and was a market maven to us all. She would have appreciated that the Dow dipped 275 points on the day of her passing. Besides her family, Mrs. Prichard was most proud of being a 5th generation Texan. Service for Frankie Smith Prichard are at 3:30 pm, Monday, December 18th, at Restland Funeral Home. Viewing is Sunday from 3 to 5 pm.
