Franklyn J. Thiebaud's Obituary
Franklyn Julius Thiebaud was born to Melba and Oscar Thiebaud in Lamar Missouri on January 2, 1928. He went home to meet Jesus, the Author of Life, on April 6, 2024. Predeceased by his parents and 6 siblings, he is survived by his wife of 72 years, Betty (Prough) Thiebaud, their four children: Connie Berube, Gary (Jan) Thiebaud, Joe (Charlotte) Thiebaud, and Stan (Lisa) Thiebaud, 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and their families.
Raised on a dairy farm in Greene County Illinois, where he attended a one room school through 8th grade, Dad learned the values of hard work, fierce determination, and keen attention to detail that allowed him to lead innovative projects at Olivetti and Xerox before starting his own consulting business.
Mom and Dad were active members of Park Cities Baptist Church where they served in the Floyd’s Faithful class and the Senior Adult Ministry. Dad also devoted countless hours and manpower in support of Buckner International.
Yet, his most cherished relationships and moments involved his beloved wife Betty. Dad was happiest when with family, hosting sleepovers for his grandchildren, beach vacations, family reunions or sharing his love of football, fishing and hunting.
Our family wishes to thank our sweet friend and caregiver Barbara Walker, as well as, At Home Personal care and Paloma Hospice.
