Fred Leo Caldwell passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2019 in Bonham, Texas at the age of 84.Fred Leo Caldwell was born on December 6, 1934 in Collinsville, IL to his loving parents: William Ernest Caldwell and Clara Lucinda Edmonds. He proudly served his country in the US Air Force from 1954-1962 as a A-IC(P), Medic. He married Billie Dwyer on April 19, 1958 in Wichita Falls, TX. He worked at Southwestern Bell, 26 years (latest) Geo Tech, 6 years (prior). He was a member of The Garland Elks Lodge-32nd Degree Mason- Master of Elks.Fred Leo Caldwell will be sincerely missed by his beloved family, his devoted friends and all of the individuals who were fortunate enough to know him and love him.He is survived by daughter Babette Booe, Sherman, TX, sons Jeff Caldwell, Forney, TX, Kevin Caldwell, Rockwall, TX, brother Gene Caldwell, California, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by spouse Billie Jean Caldwell.“Throughout Fred’s life he embodied what it meant to be a loving dedicated and involved husband, father and grandfather. He had many hobbies and interests, some of which included, hunting, fishing, woodworking, master carver, and passionate golfer. He was a past Exalted Ruler of The Garland Elks Lodge where he held numerous leadership positions and a 32nd Degree Mason. He enjoyed traveling, country music, western movies, dancing, fixing things, being silly. Although he will be deeply missed, he lives in spirit and memory though his friends and loved ones. We rejoice in knowing his mind, body, and spirit is at peace as he is reunited with his wife and siblings in the kingdom of heaven. “The Family of Fred Leo Caldwell will receive guests from 2:00 – 3:00 pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 ain The Wildwood Chapel at Restland Cemetery.
