Fred Allen Fillmon's Obituary
FILLMON, FRED ALLEN Devoted husband, father and grandfather passed away June 17, 2008 in Dallas, Texas. Born July 29, 1940 in St. Petersburg, Florida. Fred was a general contractor in the construction business. He had true sincerity, always had a zest for life and gave great hugs. Fred’s loves in life were his wife, daughters and their families, nature, animals, and his cockatiel, Kuiipo. Preceded in death by mother, Maxine Townsend and sister, Betty Adamek. Survived by wife, Gloria; daughters, Kimberly Fillmon-Smith and husband Larry, Cindy Thompson and husband Jeffrey; brothers, Donald Fillmon and Robert Townsend; grandchildren, Zachery Wilson, Tiger Smith, Rory Smith, Casey Thompson; niece, Sherry Adamek; and nephews, Stan Adamek, Donnie Fillmon and Robbie Fillmon. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Thursday, June 19, 2008 at Restland Funeral Home. Service will be held at 3:30 PM, Friday, June 20, 2008 at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Pallbearers will be Larry Smith, Jeffery Thompson, Tiger Smith, Zachery Wilson, Tom Mooney, Jr., and John Cortelyou.
