Fred Warren House Jr.He was born in Ft. Worth, Texas on November 12, 1933 to Fred W. House Sr. and Eva Ruth Mahenay and passed away in peace on January 5, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He graduated from PolyTech High School in Fort Worth in 1952. He was proud to serve in the United States Navy from 1952-1959 during the Korean War, where he was also selected to represent the Navy playing competitive baseball across the Far East. Throughout his life he remained ever passionate about both sports and his family. He avidly bowled and golfed for over 60 years. A few of his accomplishments included bowling a 297 game and scoring a hole-in-one.Fred married Judith Minnette Perlick on February 12, 1955. He is survived by his adoring wife of 64 years, along with two of their three children, Robert House and Eva Rabe. He’s also survived by 7 grandchildren – James Rabe, Heather Rabe, Alexis Lucas, Christopher House, Josh House, Jennifer Pearson, Danielle Heard and 7 great-grandchildren (who all affectionately called him Papaw) Able, Hunter, Jack, Olivia, Grey, Serenity, Lucas and a host of other family members and friends. Fred was preceded in death by his son, Jack House. He retired from Cargill Steel and Wire, after a 20 year career purchasing steel from all over the world.He loved the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers and rarely missed a game of either team.His visitation and viewing service will be held on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 from 6pm-8pm at Restland Funeral Home, funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019 at 10:30am. Both services will be held at Restland Funeral Home in the Memorial Chapel at 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Texas 75243. All are welcome.
