At age 19 she became a founding member of Northway Christian Church. Her artistic talents were instrumental to the success of the Northway Bazaar for over 40 years. In recognition of her devotion and commitment she was presented with a lifetime achievement award from Northway Christian Bazaar in 2001. Frieda gave generously of her time to many other organizations, including Scottish Rite Children’s Hospital, The Red Cross during WWII, Meals on Wheels, Juliette Fowler Home, and Parkland Hospital. Frieda was a kind and gentle lady with a smile for everyone and a twinkle in her eyes.
