Fryda Adames McGowan's Obituary
Fryda Adames McGowan, of Windcrest, TX passed away on October 7th from a brief illness, She was 91 years old. Fryda was born on January 24, 1931, in San Felix, Republic of Panama. She married Kelly D. McGowan, who precedes her in death, in 1955 and moved to the United States where she became a naturalized citizen.
Fryda and Kelly traveled and lived in numerous states before settling down in Garland, TX. Fryda lived in Garland for 51 years. She retired from the Richardson Independent School District with over 20 years of service. She was and avid quilter, baker, reader and gardener.
Fryda is survived by her three children and their wives: Don and Donna McGowan, Jeb and Jana McGowan, Karl and Catherine McGowan; and a granddaughter, Rio McGowan.
Fryda will be missed by her family and friends. She is in God's arms and at rest.
Graveside services are Monday, October 17, 2022, at 11:00am; Restland Memorial Park, Whispering Waters III. There will be a viewing at 10am in Restland Funeral Home.
