In loving memory of our mother, Fu-Wei (JoAnne) Wong, 87, who passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Monday August 22, 2022.
Fu-Wei was born in the Nanjing, China on September 28, 1935. The eldest of 4 children born to parents Fu Jian-Ke, and Tsai Pei-Lan. She met and married Yeuk-Kan Wong in 1954 after her family had fled China for Taiwan to escape the War. In 1987 Fu-Wei and Yeuk-Kan moved to America joining other siblings and then settled in Dallas, Texas where they then became United States Citizens. They moved to Mesquite, Texas where they both lived the remainder of their lives. Fu-Wei devoted very deep love and care to Yeuk-Kan until his passing in 2000.
Fu-Wei was a kind, caring, and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own.
Fu-Wei is survived by brothers Fu Chuan, and Fu Biao, sons Shih-Hsiu, Shih-Wei, and daughter Antzu together with four grand children and one great grandson. Fu-Wei is preceded in death by her parents Fu Jian-Ke and Tsai Pei-Lan, her husband Yeuk-Kan, and her brother Fu Bing.
Fu-Wei believed family came first and above all else. Being a mother was one of the most important parts of her life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. The values she instilled in her children set them on a path that allowed them to accomplish extraordinary things. Fu-Weis happiest moments were when she was surrounded by her family.
Fu-Wei liked to travel to different places and see the world. Fu-Weis favorite activity was going to the Casinos and playing Penny-Slots. Fu-Wei also loved to return to Taiwan to visit her sons, grand children, and old home friends.
Mother, you will always be in our hearts and we will never forget you. We love you so much.
Rest in Peace
