Galia Mae Edwards' Obituary
Galia Mae Edwards passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 19, 2018 in Wylie, Texas and celebrated 89 years on this Earth. Mrs. Edwards was born on July 6, 1929 in McKinney, Texas to proud parents: Roy and Vinnie (Self) Howard. She married Billy Ray Edwards on August 8, 1947 in McKinney, Texas and together, they made their home in the Dallas Area. Mrs. Edwards will be remembered as a devoted wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy and her son, Gregory Lynn Edwards. Those left to cherish her memory are her sons: Jerry, Tim and Danny Edwards; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Billie Hackney and a host of other loving family and friends.Services: A visitation for Mrs. Edwards will be held on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 6:00pm-8:00 pm at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at 10:00 am at Wildwood Chapel in Restland Cemetery.Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Galia Mae Edwards have been faithfully entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery, which is located at 13005 Greenville Ave., at the intersection of Restland Road, Dallas, Texas 75243, and can be reached at (972) 238-7111.
