Garland Wesley Hendricks' Obituary
born October 4, 1921 in Cedar Hill Texas, died on July 12, 2007 in Dallas. Garland is preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Kay Hendricks. Survivors include his wife, Ann; daughter, Sallye Williams; son, Mark Hendricks and wife Melinda; ten grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; his sisters, Freddie Clyde Gibson and Machie Westmoreland and brother, John Sherrill Hendricks. Garland served from February 1943 to August 1945 during World War II as a P-51 fighter pilot for the 111th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, flying 101 missions, receiving many medals for his service. He and Ann are also charter members of the Walnut Hill Methodist Church. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM, Saturday, July 14, 2007 at the Abbey Chapel, Restland Funeral Home.
