Gary Lee Jenness' Obituary
Gary Lee Jenness, age 63, of Garland Texas, went to be with Jesus on February 2, 2017. Gary was born on July 30, 1953 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 7 at Firewheel Bible Fellowship in Rowlett, Texas. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. and the service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. Gary was married to Barbara Jean Ambelang on May 21, 1977; they were married for 39 years. Gary loved the Lord, his family, and the Green Bay Packers. He was a generous man who enjoyed sharing his gifts and talents, especially his cooking! Gary worked for the Garland Independent School District for 25 years and taught special education at Naaman Forest High School. He coached Garland Special Olympics for over 30 years. He loved his athletes and was a mentor and friend to many young men and women over the years. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Barbara J Jenness; son Eric H. Jenness; daughter Amanda L. Jenness; three brothers Boyce Jenness, Patrick Jenness (Brenda) and Michael Jenness; three sisters Rommelle Augustine, Mechelle Lake, and Jayne (Don) Sanderson; his cousins, nieces, nephews and the rest of his family and friends. Gary is preceded in death by his parents John E. Jenness and Lois I. Jenness and his sister Lorene A. Miller. Gary was deeply loved by many and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Tuesday, January 7, 2017 at Firewheel Bible Fellowship Church with visitation 1 hour prior to the service starting at 2:00 pm at the Church.
