Gary M. McBride 's Obituary
He was born January 1, 1958 in Dallas, Texas. He passed away April 28, 2020 peacefully in his sleep after a lengthy illness and is now with our Heavenly Father. He resided in Murphy, Texas,
He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother James and Etta McBride, his mother Jean Hogue, his grandmother who raised him, Grace McBride, his uncles Gary Dean McBride and Robert McBride and his brother-in-law Herb Collins.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Melinda, his son Jason, his daughter and son-in-law Brittany and Josh Andrews and grandson Jesse. He is also survived by his brothers and sisters, James, Kevin, Darroll Lee, Gail, Rhonda Jo, Melinda Jean, his aunts Ann and Janice, his uncles Bill and Cecil. He has a host of extended family and friends including numerous nieces and nephews.
Gary was retired and previously worked as a machinist. He enjoyed working on cars and being outdoors. He repaired discarded bikes and donated them to various organizations and needy children. He loved looking after his neighbors and visiting with them every day. His passion was cooking and he enjoyed teaching others. He considered so many of his neighbors as family. They meant so much to him. He has such fond memories of the time he spent in Murphy, Texas, helping people with a wide array of tasks and the camaraderie of the community.
