I don’t know what to say. I am heartbroken. I have been seeing Dr. Penn since his first year in practice. I was 13 years old when I started going to him. Now, my 4 children are his patients, as well as their father. I drive 45 minutes to see him because he’s the best there is!! The most caring, honest, and sincere dentist and gentleman. He has the most incredible staff, too. I absolutely love all of them. I will keep his family, and his staff, in my thoughts and prayers. Devastating loss!

I was referred to Dr. Penn by a friend of mine. I’ve heard that he was an excellent dentist. I discovered that he was generous, polite and the best dentist I ever had. He did excellent work on my teeth. I was stunned when I heard of his death. He will be missed by many people. Also, his staff was very kind and helpful. He was one of those people who was good to everyone. May his soul rest in peace.

Growing up I had difficult experiences with various dentists so when my husband raved about his family dentist I was so skeptical. However, the one thing that brought me though his door the first time was the numerous stories of kindness and generosity he showed my husbands family. Then as his patient I found myself on the receiving end of his kindness and the gratitude I feel is overwhelming. He was truly the best dentist that I have ever had and his presence and skill will truly be missed. Thank you so much for sharing your son, spouse, father and grandpa with us. Oak Cliff will forever be changed because of him.

A tremendous loss for all. Absent from the body, present with the Lord epitomizes how Doc (Gary) lived his life. He was over the moon ‘happy’ with Valerie and loved his children immensely. It’s a sadder world today without this kind, giving and jovial friend. My condolences and prayers to Valerie, his Mom (Frankie), his children, brothers and extended family. We are all better people for having known this man!
