Gary F. Pruett's Obituary
Gary F. Pruett, age 68, passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at his home in Plano, Texas surrounded by family after a lengthy illness. He is survived by Gina, his beloved wife and caregiver of almost 40 years; daughter, Danielle; son, Marcus; parents, David and Annette Pruett; sister, Sharon Luck (David); brother, Keith (Ida); mother-in-law, Mary Blake (his “angel”); brothers-in-law, William and Michael Blake; sister-in-law, Anna Christain (Jeff); and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.From high school Gary served in the US Army during the Vietnam War, then graduated from Oklahoma University with a degree in Philosophy. Gary had a passion for collecting music and diecast cars, attending concerts, and was a self-taught guitar player.A private celebration of life service will be held. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations be made to Gary’s favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
