Gary Paul Thyfault's Obituary
Gary Paul Thyfault, born November 16, 1942 in Dallas, TX to Frank Abbott and Margaret Baker Thyfault passed on May 2, 2019 in Sunnyvale, TX.A life-long Dallas resident, Gary graduated from Bryan Adams High School. Soon after graduation, he joined the U.S. Army Reserves. Not long after joining the military, Gary was the passenger in an automobile accident that resulted in Gary becoming a quadriplegic.Following his accident and considerable rehabilitation, Gary persevered in life, earning an Accounting Degree from UT – Arlington, becoming a CPA. His professional career included working for EDS and H&R Block.Gary’s interests included traveling throughout the United States and Mexico. He enjoyed sports and was lifetime fan of all Dallas area teams, including his dearly loved Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars and Texas Rangers. Gary also enjoyed gaming.Gary possessed an infectious positive attitude, witty sense of humor and an unmatched degree of humility, experienced by all who ever knew him. He was a hero and role model to many. Most of all, Gary was dearly loved by family and friends alike.Through Gary’s faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior, we celebrate the life Gary shared with us in this world, and the life he is living now and forever with the Lord, loved ones and friends. May he walk, run and dance for all of eternity.Gary was preceded in death by his father, Frank, mother, Margaret, his brother, Bruce and sister-in-law Peggy. He is survived by his brother Larry Thyfault, Ennis, TX, sister-in-law Pam Thyfault, Waxahachie, TX, sister Jill and brother-in-law Paul Rowlett, Grafton, WI, sister-in-law JoAnn Thyfault, Carrollton, TX, nieces Lynne Hubbard and Hannah Rowlett and nephews Kyle Thyfault, Russell Thyfault and Paul Rowlett, Jr., great-nieces Peyton Hubbard and Hadley Strasser and great-nephews R.J. Hubbard, Noah Rowlett, Isaac Rowlett and Paul Rowlett, III. His second and dearly loved family, Ricky, Hayde, Melanie and Emiliano Benitez, Forney, TX, also survive Gary. The entire Thyfault family expresses our deepest love and appreciation to the Benitez Family for their incredible love and wonderful care for Gary and may they know and always remember Gary’s tremendous love for each of them.No services have been scheduled.
