Gary Raymond Troutman's Obituary
Gary Raymond Troutman, loving husband and father, passed away on August 23, 2021, at his home in Richardson, Texas. Gary was born on April 18, 1964 in New York to the late Mary Agnes Troutman and Raymond Gary Troutman. He was the eldest of Mary's three children. Gary graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, NY. He then joined the U.S. Air Force stationed in California where he served for several years. After his military service, Gary worked for Ernst & Young in IT where he met his wife, Victoria (Vickie) Lenoir Perkins. He was also a commercial Class A truck driver for many years in Indiana and later in Texas where he last resided. On June 17, 2005, Gary and Vickie married and from that union their daughter, Jasmine, was born. Together they raised four beautiful daughters.
Gary loved hip-hop music and enjoyed playing dominos and pool with his friends. He was a big sports fan and followed his favorite teams which were the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers and the NY Yankees. Gary enjoyed meeting people and it wasn't uncommon to see him in social settings laughing and enjoying a cold brew.
Gary is survived by his wife Vickie Troutman, his children: Tiffany Perkins, Andrea Perkins, Loryn Perkins, Jasmine Troutman, and grandson Ahmir Weli. He also leaves behind two siblings, Shawn Troutman (Dana) of Vian, Oklahoma and Nicole Waters (David) of Freehold, New Jersey. Gary will be lovingly remembered by his nephews De'Shawn Troutman, Shawn Troutman Jr., and his nieces Dominique Conner, Kiley Troutman and Jordan Troutman. He will also be missed by a host of cousins who were like siblings and a host of other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021, 2 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home; 13005 Greenville Ave; Dallas, TX.
