Growing up in the 60's it wasn't common to see women attend school functions wearing pants or pant suits. Mrs Blanton was blazing a trail in my mind as she wore pant suits to our school activities. More recently at the marriage of her eldest daughter, my husband and I gave her a ride to all the events and festivities such an event encompassed. It was a delight to hear stories of her family and hear the pride in her voice as she spoke. So glad to have known her since I was in kindergarten so many moons ago!

Dear Clarissa, Pat and Pam, I'm sorry to hear of Aunt Gaynell's passing. I'm sorry I have only mailed Christmas cards to her for many years and have not been able to visit.
