Wallace Gene Austin, 84, of Mesquite, Texas, born January 11, 1935 in Dallas, Texas to Edward and Margaret Austin, passed away February 16, 2019 in Mesquite, Texas.Gene married Betty Miller in 1955, for 45 loving years. Gene went on to be an Electrical Contractor for 42 years.Gene is preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Austin and parents Edward and Margaret Austin.Gene is survived by his sons Mark Austin and wife Kathy of Forney, Texas, Michael Austin and wife Cynthia, of Mesquite, Texas and Scott Austin of Plano, Texas, 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, numerous other loving family members and friends.Funeral Services will be held for Gene Friday, February 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Restland Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Restland Funeral Home, with Restland Funeral Home closing at 9:00 p.m.. Burial will be following the funeral service at Restland Memorial Park, Garden of Acacia.
