Genevieve Bratton's Obituary
With profound sadness the family of Genevieve Stafford Bratton announce her passing on September 21, 2019. At the age of 97, after a life well lived, she went home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.Genevieve was born on March 4, 1922 in Washington Township, Iowa and was the beloved wife to the late Artie A. Bratton. They were married on May 29, 1948 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Genevieve has always been a strong Christian woman, attending a Presbyterian Church her entire life. At her passing, she attended the Faith United Presbyterian Church in Farmers Branch.Genevieve was the loving and devoted mother of Renee Wensley, Artie A. Bratton and wife Jean, and Steven Frank Bratton and wife Kimbra. Genevieve was also loved by her grandchildren Amy Renee Wensley, Artie A. Bratton, Adam Eugene Wensley, Andrew Barrett Bratton, Bryan Taylor Bratton and Kara Lynn Phillips. Her great-grandchildren are Carter Bratton, Caleb Bratton, Cole Bratton, Kensington Phillips, Taylor Wensley and Grant Bratton. Genevieve had a very special love and bond with her niece Eileen Lucia and husband Scott and her many other wonderful nieces, nephews and dear friends.Sweet Genevieve will be greatly missed by all who loved her.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery 13005 Greenville Avenue, at the intersection of Restland Road Dallas, TX 75243Visitation will be Friday, September 27, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Restland Funeral Home. Funeral Service/Celebration of life will be Saturday, September 28, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in Wildwood Chapel. A short grave side service will follow in the Floral Hill section of Restland Memorial Park.
