She was a consummate cook, specializing in Lebanese food and fried chicken, and she prepared hundreds of family dinners throughout the years where she invited all the family as well as any and all friends. She was always full of grace and laughter, and she had an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, especially for the Bible. Genieve was a beautiful lady, an impeccable dresser who always took pride in her appearance, but more than that, she had a servant's heart, and she spent countless hours serving others through her church, Sts. Constantine and Helen Orthodox Church of Dallas. She was active in Eastern Star, Lioness Club and St. George Orthodox Church o f Wichita, Kansas Women's Association. Genieve is survived by her daughter, Patricia Gabriel and her husband Frank; her two sons, Dr. Mike Cohlmia and wife, Garland, and Dr. Greg Cohlmia and fiancée, Jennifer Rush; five grandchildren, Kimberly Dominy and husband David; Dr. Brent Gabriel and wife, Leah Kay; Candice Unger and her husband, Michael; and Chad Cohlmia. Genieve was the perfect embodiment of the Proverbs 31 woman: "Her children rise up and call her blessed. Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all. Charm deceitful and beauty is vain, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." Proverbs 31:28-30.
