Georganna Ray's Obituary
RAY, GEORGANNA WHITE A devoted mother, wife and sister died October 17, 2011 in Dallas, TX. She is survived by her husband of 73 wonderful years, W.J. Ray; her two children David Ray and wife, Jan, daughter Ann Welch; three grandchildren Chris Ray, Ryan Welch and wife, Erika and Wendy Henderson and husband Jim ; two great grandchildren Jacob Welch and Noah Welch. She was preceded in death by her parents and six siblings. Georganna was born in Morgan, TX Sept. 12, 1921 and moved to Dallas in 1942. She helped her husband operate a small family business, Ray Aircraft Supply for 20 years. In 1960, with her outstanding seamstress skills, she designed a pattern for aircraft engine bags that met military specifications to be shipped overseas. Her greatest love and achievement was her family. Her goal in life was to be a wonderful mother and wife and she was totally successful in meeting this goal. Her spirit was strong and her love was great and she will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank Donna Starkey and Sharon Martin for taking such tender care of their loved one. Services will be held at Restland Wildwood Chapel, 3PM, Friday, October 21, 2011 with visitation from 2PM -3PM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 4125, Houston, TX 77210-4125 or to the charity of your choice.
