George A. Chope's Obituary
With deep love and profound respect, we announce the passing of George A. Chope, a Vietnam veteran, a devoted father, and one of the greatest salesmen ever known. He passed away on 06/27/2025 at the age of 73, leaving behind a deeply meaningful legacy.
George served his country honorably in Vietnam, sacrificing more than most could ever understand. His strength, grit, and perseverance followed him throughout life shaping the man he became and the way he loved.
He was a successful salesman, one of the best in his field charismatic, sharp, funny, and relentless. He could sell anything to anyone, but it was his loyalty and dedication that truly made him unforgettable to those who knew him well.
He is survived by his daughters, Milaina West and Katherine Porter; his grandchildren, Alexis, Aiden, Nicholas and Nathan; his mother, Anita Glowacki; his fiancée, Dennie Rodgers; his sisters, Sarah Kolb and Anna Pitman; and his nieces and nephews, Alex, Tierney, Mace and Madisyn.
George was not a perfect man, but he showed up for his family when it mattered. He was strong in the ways that count, present even through hardship, and full of love in his own unique way. The weight of his past was heavy, and it shaped much of his life, but even through that, his love for his family still found its way through.
He will be remembered with honor, love, and gratitude—for his service, his resilience, and the impact he had on those lucky enough to know him.
A service will be held for family and friends at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 25, 2025 at Restland Funeral Home's Wildwood Chapel. In his memory, the family asks that you reach out to someone you love and never take the time we’re given for granted.
