Rest in peace, my old friend Spud. You were really one of the good guys. When I was your and Judy's neighbor at Rosser Park, you watched over the neighborhood and the clubhouse as if it were your own, and those of us who lived there appreciated your hard work, and your many years of being the president of the homeowners association. And you had an angel of a wife, so sweet, and such a good cook! You will be missed by so many people for you touched so many lives. Yours was a life well lived and full of service to others.

I was saddened to see that Spud had passed away and wish to express my condolences to his wife, Judy, and all his family. I worked with both Spud and Judy at Sears for quite a few years, but time has distanced us since then. Spud managed work clothes at the same time I managed the same department in the Seminary store in Ft. Worth. We became friends and associates when I returned to the Valley View store as George Myers' training manager. I even played some bridge with the two Georges in the lunch room, but my skills proved to be far less than theirs! Spud's passing reminds me that friends can be absent yet fondly remembered for good times in our past. May G-D bless — Dave Greenberg
