George Buren Harrington's Obituary
George Buren Harrington was born May 29th, 1922 in Allen, Texas. George was an honored WWII Veteran who served his country as an airplane mechanic and who left the Army as a Sargent. During his lifetime he had also served as a Police Officer and Postmaster General. As many who know him best will remember, George, or “Skunk” as many of us called him, loved no two things more than traveling around the world in his RV, and playing dominos. George is preceded in death by his wife, Jo and son, Van. He is survived by his daughter, Deb and his grandchildren: Kristy, Wendy, and Michael; as well as Lisa, Laura and Bill. He leaves behind his lady friend Nan Mitchell also. Service for George Harrington will be held on January 23rd, 2015 at 12:00pm at Restland Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas (Graveside in the Valley View section, followed by the Chapel). Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, TX 75243 In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors, in George Harrington’s name; or bring to the funeral, (donations will be accepted at the service.)
