George Gregory "Greg" Kordoban's Obituary
George Gregory “Greg” Kordoban, age 87, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, in Allen, Texas. He was born on September 18, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, to George and Mary Kordoban.
Greg proudly served his country as a veteran in the Air Force earning the rank as Staff Seargent at an early age. He then went on to graduate from Youngstown State University. After college, he went on to build a successful career in sales for International Paper. He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Alice Kordoban, whom he was married to until her passing on July 7, 2016. Greg was a loving father and a proud “Papa” to his 5 grandchildren, a role he cherished deeply.
An avid golfer and fisherman, Greg found his greatest joy spending summers in Colorado—especially golfing and fishing there, the perfect trifecta in his eyes. Though he moved to Texas, he stayed true to his roots as loyal fan of the Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians and volunteered for many years at the Byron Nelson golf tournament. For many years, Greg continued giving back as an usher at St. Patrick’s in Dallas and St. Jude’s in Allen.
Greg loved the music of the 1950s and classic standards of the 1960s, often enjoying Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Greg is survived by his son, Jim Kordoban and wife Lisa; daughter, Karen Warren and husband Shannon; grandchildren, Sienna Kordoban, Jaxon Kordoban, Kate O’Leary, Alli O’Leary; and Brycen O’Leary; and sister-in-law Lita Jendrysik.
His family would like to thank the staff at Ther Heritage at Twin Creeks for the loving care they provided to him. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be sent to: St. Jude's Catholic Church - 1515 N Greenville Ave, Allen, TX 75002.
Greg will be remembered for his devotion to family, his generous spirit, and his love of life’s simple pleasures.
