George Luther Hay's Obituary
Born February 13, 1922 in Oklahoma City, OK, and passed away September 5, 2008 in Dallas, TX. A veteran of World War II, George served in the Navy in the South Pacific, including Iwo Jima. He was a graduate of Texas Tech, with a degree in Industrial Engineering, and retired from the City of Dallas Water Department in 1987. George was active in golf, fishing, reading, wood-working and gardening. Preceded in death by his parents, Leo S. and Lucille Snow Hay, and his sister, Lorraine Hudspeth, George leaves behind his wife of 23 years, Nellieanna Holdeman Hay, sons, George L. Hay and wife Lucy, and Michael L. Hay and wife Pam, grandchildren, Alison Rogers and Carrie Hay, and great-grandchild, Logan Rogers, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A cryptside service will be held at 2 pm, Monday, September 8, 2008, in Chapel Gardens Mausoleum in Restland Memorial Park.
