George Thompson Mcculloch's Obituary
MCCULLOCH, GEORGE THOMPSON, passed away at Presbyterian Village North on June 19, 2008. He was the son of Arch, Sr. and Lois T. McCulloch. He was born in 1930 in a house his grandfather Thompson built on Cornell Avenue in Highland Park, Dallas. He attended Highland Park schools and graduated from the University of North Texas with a degree in Graphic Arts. He was employed by Sun Oil Company, was a member of the ROTC and the Naval Reserve and served in the Korean War. George was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Betty McCulloch Jumper, and is survived by brothers Arch McCulloch, Jr. and his wife Nancy, of Glenmore, Louisiana; Judge Bill McCulloch and his wife, Ann of Houston, Texas as well as many nieces and nephews. He was married to Shirley Reynolds for fifty years and is survived by son, Mark and his wife, Ewing, their children Andrew, Mary Catherine and Benjamin, of Amarillo, Texas; also son Scott and his wife Becky, their children Madeline, MacKenzie and Megan of Dallas. He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Duncan McCulloch of Dallas, and stepsons, D.C. and wife Jaye Duncan; and Ross Duncan of Pagosa Springs Colorado. His church affiliations have been East Dallas Christian Church and Highland Park Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held in McGowan Auditorium, Presbyterian Village North, on June 23rd, 2008 at 2:30PM. Memorials may be made to the Presbyterian Village North Foundation or to East Dallas Christian Church.
