George Wesley Mitchell, 91, of Garland, Texas passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2019, in Garland, Texas. He was born on Saturday, June 2, 1928, to his loving and thoughtful parents, William Wesley Mitchell and Flora Sea Mitchell in Avalon, Texas. He married Peggy Lynn Mitchell on May 21, 1948 in Italy, Texas. He worked at Brennaman Company from 1954 until retiring on 1993 as a Sales Manager. He served in the US Marines from March 5, 1952 to February 26, 1954, and in the reserves until March 4, 1960. George loved fishing and making fishing lures. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Lynn Mitchell, sisters, Audrey C. Mitchell, Edith K. Mitchell, Ruth N. Mitchell and Reba L. Mitchell, brothers; Loyal C. Mitchell, Ernest M. Mitchell, Marion R. Mitchell and William T. Mitchell. He is survived by his sons; Greg Mitchell and wife Kathy of Terrell, Texas, Gary Mitchell of Garland, Texas, grandsons; Clayton Mitchell and wife Megan Mitchell, Wesley Mitchell, great grandchildren; Clayton, Megan, Penelope Rose Mitchell.
