George M. Pederson's Obituary
George Manuel Pederson, 47, of Carrollton, GA, died Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Grady Memorial Hospital, Atlanta, GA, from injuries received in a plane crash on August 18, 2011. George was born August, 13 1964 at Lajes Field (USAF Base), Azores, Portugal. He graduated from Bitsburg High School, Germany, where he quarterbacked the football team to a championship. He attended college in Nebraska, served in the USAF and received his A&P License at AIM in Dallas, TX. George was a Jet Mechanic at Delta Airlines in Atlanta, GA but considered Texas his home. He enjoyed sports, was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and lived to have fun both indoors and out. He loved working on and flying his airplane. He is survived by Wife, Pamela of Carrollton, GA, Parents, Dr. & Mrs. George R Pederson PHD, Columbus, GA, sister Tina Keith, Nashville, TN, and aunts, nephews, a niece, cousins, a father-in-law, two brother-in-laws, a host of friends and four rescued dogs. Services will be held at Restland Memorial Chapel 9220 Restland Rd Dallas, TX on Monday Oct. 17, 2011 at 12:30 PM. Visitation is Sunday, Oct. 16, 2011 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, a donation, in George’s name, to SPCA of Texas, is greatly appreciated.
