George Poh's Obituary
George Poh, 94, died peacefully at his Dallas home on Nov. 11, 2018.George, born Oct. 23, 1924, in Irvington, N.J., was a child of the Depression, a veteran of World War II and a self-made success story as a general contractor in New Jersey. He met his dear wife, Peg, at their college, Ohio Wesleyan University, and they married in 1950 after getting their degrees. He lost Peg in 2004 and is survived by his three daughters, Elizabeth Shaw and Carolyn Poh of Dallas, and Catherine Eramo of Wall, N.J., as well as four grandchildren.A private family service is planned for spring. His and Peg’s ashes will be scattered in the mountains of North Carolina with flower seeds scattered with them so, in George’s words, he and Peg will be “pushing up daisies.” George never lost his sense of humor. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the library at Ohio Wesleyan University.
