Mr George William Rayfield's Obituary
George William Rayfield, 80, of Richardson, Texas passed away on June 5, 2021 in Plano, Texas. He was born on May 26, 1941 to, George and Maxine Rayfield in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. He had two siblings, Joyce and Pete, both of whom preceded him in death. George was the lone survivor in his family. He was 1/4 American Indian and on the rolls of the Potowatomie Nation tribe in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
George was a long time member of Lone Star Skiers and Adventure club. He and Judy enjoyed many, many trips and get togethers through the years.
George served in the Army, 1966 - 1968, and served in Vietnam. He was awarded the Silver Star for gallantry, on 8/30/1967.
He will be remembered for his easy laughter and never meeting a stranger. He loved boating at Lake Lewisville each summer and then skiing in the winter.
George is survived by his wife of 47 plus years. They married on September 15, 1973.
