George F. Roberts' Obituary
George Franklin Roberts Jr. died March 27, 2023. He was born March 25, 1935 in Alexandria, LA. The son of George Franklin Roberts Sr. and Percie Anne LeBlanc Roberts. George graduated from Tulane University in 1960 with his Masters Degree in social work. His career began with Family Service Agency in Shreveport, LA, 1960-1965 as a casework supervisor. From there he moved to Family Guidance Center in Dallas, TX, and worked as their Director of Professional Services, 1965-1967. He left there to work at Private Practice Psychotherapy, Marriage, and Family Therapy until his retirement in 1998. George was a member of the Methodist and Episcopal churches in his lifetime. Most recently Royse City Methodist Church. George is survived by his wife of 66 years, Bennie Mae Henry Roberts, two children, Kim C. Roberts of Dallas, Ben Franklin Roberts of Royse City and wife Yalonda Bonner Roberts, three grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sister. Funeral Services will be held April, 3, 2023 at 2pm in Restland Abby Chapel 13005 Greenville Ave. Dallas, Tx 75243.
