George Milton Russell, 81, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020, at his home in Wills Point, TX to go be with our Heavenly Father.
Born on November 5, 1938, in Huntington, Texas, George was the fourth son (fifth child) to the late James and Lillie Russell.
George graduated from Huntington High School, and served in the U.S. Air Force (1957-1961) in the 3555th Transportation Squadron as an Airman Second Class at Perrin
AFB near Sherman, TX, before the Vietnam conflict. He married Marilyn Sue Pettigrew on August 11, 1961, and began their family, where they had their daughter, Mary (Russell) Mosby in 1962, and son, David Russell in 1971. George retired in 1995 from Sun Oil
Co / Accenture. In retirement, George loved to hunt, fish, tinker around the house, watch old Westerns, and visit with friends for game nights.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James Bryant and Lillie Ella (James) Russell, brothers Arta Xerxes, Silous Simon, and James Bryant Russell Jr., and sister Dorothy
Louise (Russell) Price.
He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn, of 59 years of marriage; children, Mary (Russell) Mosby and husband Kirk of Centerville, TX, and David Russell and wife
Michelle of Krum, TX; 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other beloved friends and relatives.
