Georgia Arnetta Black's Obituary
Georgia Arnetta Black of Mckinney Texas went to be with her Heavenly Father on February 14th 2016. She was born on July 26th ,1926 in Jonesboro, Texas. Her suffering was short but her joy is eternal. At the age of 89 her heart became still and she passed away peacefully at her home. She was a quiet, tough farm girl and a homemaker most of her life. She knew the meaning of sacrifice and always loved her garden. Her true passion was quilting and many homes are blessed with her talent. She lived life with no regrets and will be missed by many friends and family. Another chapter of life has passed and her wish would be for us to move forward and continue our everyday life. To share in her memory are four daughters, Nelda Allums and Michael of San Antonio Texas, Christine Carpenter and L.D.of Garland Texas, Darlene Hamm and Larry of Quinlan Texas, Amy Lambert and Gary of Elizabeth Colorado, two sons, David Black and Barbara of McKinney, Texas, Dennis Black and Kim of Fort Collins Colorado, 17 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and one great-great grandson. She is also survived by one brother Willie Johnson and Bell of Jonesboro Texas and one sister Fay Stone and Wayne of McGregor Texas. Preceding her in death are her parents George and Martha Johnson, her husband Luther, one brother Clyde one sister Mac her daughter Eldean Benson and a grandson Lonnie Hamm. A graveside ceremony for Georgia Black will be held at Restland Memorial Park Dallas, Texas Friday February 19th at 10:30 AM Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, at Restland Road, Dallas, TX 75243.
