Georgia Kifer's Obituary
KIFER, GEORGIA MAE WHITEHEAD was born February 27, 1920 and raised by her father, Barney and mother, Violet in Bowie, TX. Georgia passed away on May 14, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. She met her husband, Rev. Earl E. Kifer in Wichita Falls, in 1941. They were married in November, 1943 in Harlingen, Texas. They had 3 sons, Ronald Wayne, Gregory Glen, and Mark Lester. They served several churches in the North Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church in Chico, Roanoke, Denton, Wylie, Mesquite, Greenville, Denison, and Dallas. Earl and Georgia retired at CC Young in 1990 and she had lived there ever since. Georgia helped start the Art (Canvas Painting) Classes at CC Young, as well as sing in the choir her favorite hymns. George was preceded in death by her loving husband Earl, brother Wayne, and son, Greg. Georgia is survived by loving sons, Ron Kifer, Mark Kifer; daughter-in-laws, Sharron Kifer, Debbie Kifer, Karen Kifer; grandchildren, Jennifer Kifer Shaw, Mathew Shaw, Jessika Kifer Rinaldi, Louis Rinaldi, Koyt Kifer, Kullen Kifer, Natalie Smith Kifer, Kimberly Kifer Fretz, Eric Fretz, Katie Kifer Holtz, Curtis Holtz, Jason Kifer and Jessica Thomson Kifer. She also has 10 great grandchildren Nikki, Louie, Sadie, Sally, Susie, Adalynn, Jackson, Clara, Audrey, and Amelia. Also her special caretaker, Tutu Zewde who loved her for the past 11 years. And in the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years.A funeral service for Ms. Kifer will be on Friday, May 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home, with a visitation taking place one hour prior.In lieu of flowers please send donations to your favorite charity
