Georgia Carole McGovern was born on May 3, 1961 to father George Lee Shipp & mother Carolyn Adams in Dallas, Texas. She grew up in Garland, Texas & met the love of her life James Curtis McGovern. Georgia & James wed on June 7, 1995 & were happily married for 27 years until she entered into rest on December 28, 2022 in Garland, Texas.
Georgia is survived by her husband James; brothers John K. Shipp & Jason Shipp; sisters Kristy Shipp Templeton & Angelee Morales; nephews David Smith, John K. Shipp, Jr. & Daniel Shipp & niece Shannon Martinez. She is also survived by her uncles Don Adams & Jimmie Adams (Glenda); aunt Patricia Adams Taylor & cousins Jeffrey Eads, Leigh Anne Ream, Lisa Lord, Lori Jones, Joe Adams, Valerie Adams, Misty Keith, Jeannie Adams, Jimmie Adams & Michael Adams.
Georgia was preceded in death by her father George Lee Shipp; mother Carolyn Adams Lair & aunt Sharon Adams Martin.
Georgia leaves beautiful stories & memories & will be greatly missed by her family, friends & all of the wonderful individuals who knew & loved her. Her final resting place will be Restland Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
