Owens, Georgia was born on August 19, 1920 in Norman,Oklahoma and passed away on August 28, 2012 in Garland, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Lee Owens; parents, Carter and Drucilla McWhorter; siblings, Bertie, Iva, Calvin, Alta, Reggie, Alvin, Jesse and Joe; daughter in law, Dorothy Owens; grandchild, Michael Lyons and great grandchild, Michael Owens. Georgia was survived by children, Tommy Owens, Linda Gossett, Robert Owens and wife Jana Owens; grandchildren, James Scarber and wife, Tara Scarber, Geoffrey Owens and wife, Dalila Owens, Joshua Owens Sr., and wife, Lucy Owens, Elise Cardwell, Kelley Owens and wife, Corina Owens, Brittany Crowe and husband, Chace Crowe; Great Grandchildren, Colleen Harrison, Corbin Scarber, Michaelle Owens, Fernanado Zunigalara, Andrew Owens, Alexandria Owens, Haley Owens, Joshua Owens Jr, Cody Owens, Piper Cardwell, Ciara Owens. Family and friends visitation will be Friday, August 31, 2012 from 6-8 PM at Restland Funeral Home. The service will be Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Restland Wildwood Chapel 12:30 PM.
