Gerald Austin Brackett's Obituary
Gerald Austin Brackett was born on October 17, 1938, in Henderson, Kentucky and passed away July 30, 2016 in Dallas, Texas. After graduating from high school, Gerald joined the U.S. Air Force where he served for 23 years. After retirement, he moved to Ft. Worth, Texas where he worked as a supervisor for two plastic manufacturing companies. He is preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Marjorie Brackett; his parents, Thurman and Clara Brackett; and his sister, Elizabeth Bradley. Gerald is survived by his daughter, Lisa Gillham (Greg) of Dallas, Texas; son, Richard Brackett (Debbie) of Dover, Delaware; daughter, Laura Patterson (Dale) of Richardson, Texas; son, Michael Brackett (Shannon) of Frisco, Texas; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Charles Denton of Melbourne, Florida; and numerous other relatives. Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 10 AM in the Wildwood Chapel at Restland Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted into Restland Funeral Home and Memorial Park, 13005 Greenville Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75243.
