I have many very old memories memories and some recent. Jerry was my oldest friend - we met in 4th grade on a father son Cub Scout campout. I was in awe of him and his famous dad who was bigger than life. Jerry ate a whole can of bbq baked beans! He was a strong kid!
We went through high school and college together and rendezvous’ed in Dallas in our 20s. So many joyful times. He was a great “brother” and added lots of energy and soul to every occasion. He was an emotional guy - I loved that about Moz. Humble too. I was so impressed when he put himself through SMU and earned an engineering degree. I can’t imagine a bigger academic comeback for a kid :). Jerry had a lot of fun at KU but not much studying!
I moved to Dallas 20 years ago and was able to see Jerry regularly and stay connected. He made my life richer for knowing him, and I was fortunate to experience in person the great love between Linda and him. He clearly considered himself a lucky man and all who spent time with them were blessed by their marriage. I’ll truly miss him. His dad was famous, but Moz has his own legend.
