Gerald P. Smith, 81, of Farmers Branch, Texas passed away on August 18, 2020 in Carrollton, Texas. He was born on April 22, 1939 to Page C. Smith and Hattie Mae Atteberry in Dallas, Texas. He married Joan Smith on January 29, 1959 in Farmers Branch, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army from June 12, 1957 to June 11, 1960 as a Military Police Officer. He was a Police Officer with the City of Farmers Branch from May 1960 to January 1993 as a Captain. Gerald and his wife Joan are currently members of Webb Chapel Church of Christ in Farmers Branch, TX. He is survived by his wife, Norma Joan Smith; daughter, Sherry Warlick (husband Ken); daughter-in-law, Susan Smith; grandchildren, Mark Bennett, Zachary Smith (wife Jacy), Jacob Smith, Julianna Smith, and great grandchild Ronan Smith; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Page and Hattie Smith; sister, Carolyn Underwood; brother, Don Smith and wife, Mary, and of course son, Kip Smith.
