Mollie, Michelle, Jason & family…I will miss my good friend, Jerry and he and you are in my thoughts and prayers. Even though we only got together a few times a year after we worked together for many years at RNB, we shared a lot of old stories and laughed over beer. I know many others will miss him as well. The funeral was perfect….all the things Jerry loved …God, his family, friends, many RNB buddies, Amazing Grace, American flag, Marine Pillow, Marine & Country Song, eulogy that fit Jerry to a tee. As stated, Jerry was a great man with character like John Wayne! I know my friend Jerry is in Heaven now waiting/watching over his family and friends wrapped in God's love & peace.
I'll always remember Jerry as gracious & giving. Even if you just met him, he could make you feel like you've been friends for years. Truly a good man & he will be missed.
We're going to miss you buddy.
Jerry touched so many lives, especially his family's. I remember looking forward to the times the "Texans" would come up to IA for a visit. We also had a good time when Jerry and Mabel came to visit us in Cape Girardeau, even though it was a super hot day and their campsite had no trees for shade!! Traveling to Dallas and staying with them was time well spent seeing the sites, seeing the beach house and staying with them at their house. I can't forget taco night!!! Jerry had a heart of gold and was always so kind. Shortly after Doug and I were married, he took Doug to the golf course in Waukon which was so neat that he'd spend time with his new "nephew." His immediate family was so lucky to have him around everyday, and it was a bonus for the rest of us to visit with him once or twice a year when they visited IA. He will definitely be missed. "The Few, the Proud, the Marines." I will always treasure the Marine sweatshirt that he gave me, I mean Doug ;). Mabel, Michelle, Jason, and the rest of the family, we are thinking about you in your time of sadness. We pray that God will give you peace. Love Always, Doug & Krystal
Molly, Michelle and Jason, My mother called me after seeing Jerry's Obituary this afternoon; I am so sorry to hear of his passing, I know he will be missed. Please know you and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers.
You will be missed Uncle Jerry.
God saw you getting tired & a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you & whispered come with me. With tearful eyes we watched & saw you pass away. Although we love you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us he only takes the best.
Dear Turner Family what great memories we have of our boys playing sports and going to school events together. Mollie we express our sincere sorry at your loss.I remember what a warm smile Jerry always had. To your entire family you are remembered in our prayers.
