Geraldine Bolin's Obituary
Our beloved Geraldine “Mimi” Bolin, age 87, passed away on September 27, 2017. She was born in Huntington, West Virginia on February 4, 1930 to Roy and Glenna Chatterton, and was the oldest of two siblings, Mary Ruth Chatterton who proceeded her in death and Creel Casto who survived her in death. A graduate of St. Francis Hospital, School of Nursing, Charleston, West Virginia, she spent 57 years as a Registered Nurse and was the recipient of “The Florence Nightingale Award” for service in “Excellence”. She loved to tell stories of the Sisters that molded her as she was attending Nursing school and of her upbringing and old friends in West Virginia. Geri enjoyed plants, music, reading and helping people. She was a believer in Christ and had a strong faith. She loved Angels in any shape or form. She was the epitome of an Angel herself! She selflessly tailored herself to fill the shoes you needed: a mother, a role model, a mentor, a friend, a sister, a confidant and your biggest fan; oftentimes, all at once.
