Gilbert Grant Ayala's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear brother Gilbert Grant Ayala, born on September 7, 1970, in Toledo, Ohio. He was sent to his eternal home on January 28, 2025, In Cedar Falls, Iowa.
His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and many more whose lives were touched by him. Gil loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends. He had an infectious laugh heart of gold, sense of humor, playful spirit, and was always the life of the party. He never hesitated to lend a hand or share a story and never ended a call without an “I love you”. His kindness, unconditional love for his family, big smile when he would enter a room, deep conversations he would have with each and every one of us, and his big strong hugs will be missed and will live on in our memories forever.
Outside of spending time with family and friends, he loved to volunteer in any charitable events he was able to attend. He found pleasure in helping others no matter what the task. His hobbies that he loved were golfing, biking, bowling, and camping. He was a great worker and worked every job with honesty, integrity, and always went above and beyond the call of duty.
We ask that you remember him for the profound impact it had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sonia DeLuna (in 2022).
His memory will live on with his father, Gilbert Ayala, son, Trevor Ayala, grandchild, Beckett Ayala, four sisters, Debbie Thompson, Connie Capps, Pamela Hoffman, and Lydia Moreno.
We will always carry your memory in our hearts.
