Gilbert Allen Kelley Jr.'s Obituary
Gilbert Allen Kelley Jr. born on June 6, 1931 in Dallas County, Texas passed away on July 9, 2020 at his home in Hunt County, Texas.
Gilbert proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1949-1953. He became a police officer for Dallas Police Department in 1952 and enjoyed a fulfilling career until his retirement in 1972. Gilbert was a master woodworker, cabinet maker and avid fisherman (along with his brother-in-law Mack Ronk).
He was preceded in death by his parents: Gilbert Allen Kelley Sr. and Naomi Edith Brown; his beloved wife, Patricia W. Kelley; great grandson, Devin Matthew Kelley and brother-in-law, Mack Ronk.
Gilbert is survived by his son, Joe Kelley and wife, Debra of Las Vegas, NV.; daughter, Susan L. Kelley-Oehlke and husband, James of Waller, TX; daughter, Mary E. Kelley-Ryan and husband, Timothy of Royse City, TX; daughter, Sheree D. Kelley-Oehlke and husband Jeffrey of Rosenberg, TX; brother, Joe L. Spurgin and wife, Myra of Dallas, TX; 8 grand children; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and sister-in-law, Sally L. Ronk of Dallas, TX.
Pallbearers: Jeff Oehlke, Chris Kelley, Tim Ryan, Jimmy Oehlke, Dustin Oehlke and Paul Crofoot.
