Gilbert Larry Medcalf, 77, of Irving, Texas joined his Lord and Savior on November 12, 2018. He was born on February 14, 1941, to Gilbert C Medcalf and Minnie Leo Medcalf in Brownwood, Texas. Larry married Gladys Marie Tallent on June 9, 1961, in Brownwood, Texas. He was an accomplished artist with a love and passion for Christ.He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert C Medcalf, and mother, Minnie Leo Medcalf. He leaves behind his loving wife of 57 years, Gladys Tallent Medcalf; daughter Deborah Stickney and husband James; daughter Christy Batchelor and husband Rodney; daughter Lucretia Lewis and husband Dwight; son Brandon Medcalf and wife Kristy; 10 grandchildren: Rodney, Ashley, Justin, Tiffanee, Halston, Chloe, Megan, Caitlyn, Connor and Lauryn; 10 great-grandchildren; brother Mike Medcalf and wife Judy.Graveside services will be held Sunday, November, 18 at 11:00 am in the Court of Good Shepherd in Restland Cemetery (13005 Greenville Ave Dallas, Texas 75243) with a Celebration of Life ceremony at 6:00 pm at The Heartland Church (4020 Nazarene Dr. Carrollton, Texas 75010).In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to be made to the Legacy Offering at The Heartland Church 4020 Nazarene Dr. Carrollton, Texas 75010.
