Ginger Sue Clark's Obituary
CLARK, GINGER SUE FRANK born May 2, 1953 in Midland, Texas. She is the daughter of Connolly and Olga Frank, and sister to Neil Frank. As a young girl, she attended First Baptist Church Midland, TX where she was active in the Girls Auxiliary and Choir. She graduated in 1971 from Lee High School, Midland and Texas Tech University Lubbock in 1975, earning her BS in Fashion Design and Home Economics. After college, Ginger toured the USA and France with the group, Destiny, sponsored by Texas Alcohol/Narcotics Education and World Evangelism. Ginger moved to Dallas where she accepted her first career position working for Capri Fashions as fashion designer, learning many valuable skills both in designing and running a business that would later lead her to great success in launching her own business. While working in Dallas, she was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Dallas for 15 years. Her love for music was very evident. She joyfully sang in the sanctuary choir along with all their Music Hall presentations, Living Christmas Tree performances and trips taken to other countries to share the love of Christ. While attending FBC Dallas, the mutual love of music drew Ginger and Walter to each other. She subsequently married the love of her life Walter Clark on August 2, 1980. The other love of her life, their son, Weston was born May 29,1986. Family was a core value for Ginger throughout her life, both in raising 4 boys and in honoring her parents by caring for them until their deaths. Ginger’s joy was serving in the local church. She has been a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church Plano for 22 years, until her death, where she has been involved in the Prestonwood Choir, serving in children’s music ministry, her Bible Fellowship Class as well as mentoring young women. Early in her career, Ginger saw the need to provide a resource to help churches and choirs fulfill their goal of reaching others for Christ through quality, God-honoring music programs. She boldly followed the Lord’s leading and founded her own company designing and providing formal wear, robes and many other types of outfits to praise teams, church choirs, choral groups and schools across America. Never once did she see Praise Hymn Fashions as a business but rather a ministry, filled with caring and love. Praise Hymn Fashions became a reality in 1983 and has just celebrated its 30 years of ministry, where thousands of performances Ginger helped make possible, saw countless lost people attend. Ginger’s impact on all those souls will have her fingerprints all over them for eternity. One of the other organizations she dearly loved and was so proud to be a part of was serving on the Board of Directors for the Collin County Children’s Chorus. But Ginger’s greatest accomplishment was her deep and abiding love for the Lord Jesus Christ. Her faith was not a “Sunday Only” kind of faith but rather one that permeated every waking moment of her days. She was a strong Bible student, reading her devotions morning and evening and often out loud to anyone near enough to hear her voice. She was not shy about her faith in Christ and sincerely wanted everyone she met to experience the same trust and peace she had found despite many times of hardship and discouragement. She always found a way to end up singing and praising the Lord with a smile on her face that radiated from deep within. Even in her recent journey with cancer and walking through the Valley of the Shadow of death, she willingly shared her belief in God’s faithfulness with all who spoke to her. She as a true Prayer Warrior. Resting in her Savior now, not a moment of her life will be lost, not a tear forgotten, not a heartbeat of love will be wasted.
