Ginger Wilds' Obituary
After a very full and eventful life, followed by a brief illness, early on the morning of June 24, 2018, Ms. Ginger Wilds took her last breath and quietly passed from this world on to the next segment of her eternal journey. She will be sincerely missed by her loving family, devoted friends, and all the wonderful individuals who knew and loved her.Born Virginia Ann Gutierrez on November 9, 1930, in Houston, Texas, to Frank and Virginia Gutierrez, and middle sibling of Frank and Louis Gutierrez, all of whom preceded her in death, Ginger is survived by her four children Paul Hall, Gaile Hall, Gay Arney, and Hollie and her husband Jürgen Funk, her grandson Taylor Arney, his wife Randi and their four children Alexia, James “Jimmie,” Jack, and Brody, two granddaughters Dru Morris, her husband Mike and son Augie, Heather Yarbrough and her husband Mark and daughter Ava, her nieces Linda, Silvia and nephews Frank and Mickey of San Antonio, Texas, and sister-in-law Mona, and nieces Cindy, Dominique, Geneva, and nephew Greg of Nevada and California.Married more than 25 years to Paul Henry Hall, USAF Special Agent of the OSI, Ginger and her children spent the majority her married life accompanying her husband to various posts throughout Europe and North Africa before returning to settle in Dallas in the late 1960s.In addition to being fluent in three languages, Ginger managed the largest English print bookstore in Europe in Paris, France, owned and operated her own successful business in Dallas, and more recently, was house mother at Chi Omega and Delta Gamma sorority houses at SMU in Dallas, and at USC in southern California.Following a private viewing service to be held at Restland Funeral Home and Cemetery in Dallas, Ginger will be cremated and a public memorial service will be officiated by Dr. John W. Yarbrough and will be held Friday, June 29, at 1:00 p.m. at Royal Haven Baptist Church, 3700 Valley View Lane, Farmers Branch, Texas.Flowers and donations may be offered at 2305 Colleen Court, Carrollton, TX 75007.
