Gladys Mae Irvan's Obituary
Our precious mother, Gladys Mae Irvan entered Heavens gates on December 7th, 2020 to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born May 3, 1929 in Mena, Arkansas to William Edgar and Agnes Jane Caudle. After growing up in Horatio, Arkansas, she lived a great deal of her life in the Desoto area, but spent the last sixteen years residing in Waxahachie and Midlothian. She worked for many years as a successful restaurant owner but was best at being a wife, mother, and Nana. Gladys, known adoringly as Chubby by her closest family and friends, loved her family very much and there was nothing she would not do for each and every one of them. She is survived by her daughters Renee Lee of Waxahachie, Wanda "Cissy" Deans (John) of Cedar Hill, Lisa Escobar (Tracy) of Midlothian; grandchildren Brandy Hall, Savannah Durrett, Brittany Durrett (Casey Gage), Hayden, Brady, and Grayson; four great grandchildren Maci, Ellis, CJ and Parker; brothers Jim Bob and Dale, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Billy Joe, her parents, four sisters and three brothers.
